Our Study

Demographics

We collect general demographic information to be used in aggregate. We do not collect any personal information in this survey.

Data Collected

Data collected will allow a deeper understanding and appreciation for different cultural perspectives on mathematics in Hawaiʻi.

Research Publications

We hope our study will increase the wealth of resources, lesson plans, and tools designed to integrate ethnomath into K-12 curriculum.

With a focus on ethnomathematics, our group of dedicated doctorate students brings a wealth of academic and research experience to the table. We are committed to exploring math through diverse cultural perspectives and fostering community participation in our surveys.

We kindly ask for your participation in this research study for K-12 educators conducted by Jared Bukarau, MS; Kaʻimi Kaiwi, MA; and Kīhei Seto, MEdEL, from the College of Education EdD Cohort V at the University of Hawaiʻi. The results of the survey will help to fulfill an EdD Consultancy Project request made by Dr. Linda Furuto and Dr. Kamuela Yong.
